take a load off sally

new years day pulled into BA..nice ride but bike leaking bad…into city after running out of gas on freeway…pullover and realize were in the right area when this beast drives by….wicked full of rally cars, trucks, bikes and huge support 4x4 vans... i understand how they would come in handy… Pull over near gate entrance to bikes and instantly bombared with more rockstar treatment. crowd that got bigger and bigger…polish guy came up and did radio interview for polish radio station even after telling him we not in race….. eyes drop a little…. when find out rode from u.s. light back up again……get going after a bit looking for but cant find a vacant hotel.... after hours around neighborhood…stumble across one that turns out to be perfect with parking... Coincidentally just like what been dreaming about since peru…swank as you like-straight line modern, private bar in the room, low furniture psih posh, think ill go for a luxury swim in the courtyard pool ….of course not til after a 4hour do nothing but smile stair at the ceiling in these giant feather pillows on top of this clean linen scent white fluffy goose down comforter….nice to finally meet you god, thanks for opening the gate
Two days like two different years….wait?

Off to work some rally magic
top of mind is get bike sorted….rally time….lot has happened last few days
Rockstar in full affect getting a little out of hand….still not like feeling but will take advantage to get oil sensor....found official ktm press conference area....BS hobnob my way in...start mingling rubbin elbows and eventually have ktm trying to find a sensor in Argentina...none in the country...but there are new bikes at press conference so suggest taking one off a bike and ordering in one later...ok but all the 950 adventures are going on a pre dakar publicity ride.......not too worry the 950 duke uses same part...score!

simon says...whatever these panzies arent doing bolivia....joke.... they would shred itnext day come back to press area pull bike behind building, grab duke and hour later sensor resolved...feels great

afterward took bike to local dealer for an oil change...on the way back to hotel found myself riding with tail end of race 4-wheelers on exhibition run....onlookers waving, smiling, cheering...go with it poser....waving back, thumbs up and a couple beeps of the horn :)
